Every day someone at the counter asks, 'Brisket or pulled pork?' The honest answer: it depends on what you like. Here's the difference.
Brisket
Brisket is beef from the chest of the cow. We season it with salt and pepper and smoke it for about 14 hours. It's rich, beefy, and juicy, with a dark, peppery crust on the outside.
Pulled pork
Pulled pork comes from the pork shoulder. We rub it with Grandpa's spice mix, smoke it for about 12 hours, and pull it by hand. It's tender, a little sweet, and great with sauce.
Quick guide
- Want something bold and beefy? Get brisket.
- Want a classic sandwich with slaw? Get pulled pork.
- Feeding picky eaters or kids? Pulled pork is a safe bet.
- Can't decide? Get a combo plate with both.
For catering
Pulled pork costs less and goes further, so it's a great choice for big groups. Add a brisket tray for a crowd-pleasing mix.
