- Family photos and a small photo album
- A favorite quilt or throw blanket
- A familiar chair cushion or pillow
- A small radio or tablet for music
Paperwork
- Insurance and Medicare cards
- A list of current medications
- Power of attorney and advance directive papers
- Phone numbers for family and doctors
What to leave at home
Leave jewelry, large amounts of cash, and space heaters at home. Label everything else with your loved one's name, including glasses and hearing aids.
